Maintenance Generalist​/Mechanical Techs, All SHIFTS, Blountsville, AL

Overview

The position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and assets in the facility.
• Complete computer-based training and enter work into the SAP system.
• Utilize equipment and safety systems including LOTO, fall protection, ladders, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and contribute to a safe work environment.

• Minimum 6 months of industrial maintenance experience or a recent graduate from an accredited industrial maintenance program or equivalent resume/work history documenting 6 months of experience.
• Must list work experience in the work experience section of the application or upload a resume.
• Current maintenance technicians may have first consideration.
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends; ability to work 6 days a week, extending to 7 days if production runs on Saturday.

• Position requires standing approximately 8.5 hours/day on concrete floors.
• Position requires pushing, pulling, or lifting over 40 lbs and climbing ladders above 10 feet.
• Some departments are hot/wet and some are cold/wet.
• Position requires being a member of the Plant Hazmat Team.
