- Operate NDK equipment on multiple production lines and maintain equipment check sheets.
- Cross‑train in multiple steps of the casting process after initial training.
- Use hand tools (file, air sander, air chisel, air blow wand, broom, dustpan, squeegee) to support production.
- Monitor and maintain production quantities and quality; perform quality checks on parts used in production.
- Follow OSHA, ISO 14001, and company compliance standards; promote a safety‑first attitude.
- Collaborate with the Casting Supervisor and QA teams to meet quality and production plans, including equipment maintenance and priority scheduling.
- Identify and implement productivity improvements; track key metrics such as equipment uptime and OEE.
- Provide daily progress updates and collaborate on data analysis for reporting purposes.
- Coordinate production schedules to minimize disruption and support on‑time delivery of cast parts.
- Monitor equipment uptime, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and other casting performance indicators.
- Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and drive performance optimization.
- High school diploma or equivalent; high school completion preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow work instructions.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in safety regulations and quality control specific to the Casting department.
- Experience operating casting lines, completing the melt process on four pots, running furnace operations, and driving transfer pot operations (preferred).
Regularly required to stand for 8 hours, use hands and fingers, handle tools, walk, reach, and talk/hear. Must lift repetitive weights up to 15 lbs (often >700 each shift) and occasionally up to 40 lbs.
