As a Technician Specialist, you will be an integral part of our missile assembly and testing teams. You will fabricate, assemble, and test complex systems while collaborating closely with engineers and other technicians. This role offers hands-on work with advanced systems, precision instruments, and a variety of assembly and test operations. • Fabricate, assemble, and test complex assemblies/subsystems into missile systems.
• Inspect and inventory parts to ensure compliance with work instructions and specifications.
• Measure and verify dimensions using precision instruments.
• Align, fit, and assemble components using hand tools and fixtures.
• Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate part and system performance under simulated conditions.
• Support assembly, subsystem testing, environmental testing, and pack & ship operations.
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to identify, define, and solve technical challenges.
• Contribute to Continuous Process Improvement initiatives and mentor/cooperate with team members.

• Usage and skilled in adhesives and bonding materials.
• Usage and skilled in cable harness fabrication and repair
• Usage and skilled in soldering
• Skilled and experience in crane operations, lifting, and handling.
• Skilled and experience in spacecraft ground processing life cycle in preparation for launch/mission operations.
• Skilled in general test equipment operations.
• Skilled in environmental test operations.
• Skilled in proper use in standard hand tools.
• Skilled with test and measurement equipment (i.e., multi-meters, scales, or torque wrenches).
• Skilled in ordnance handling
• Graduate of AIDT (Alabama Industrial Development Training)

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
