Mechanical Foreman

Mechanical Foreman Supervises and coordinates daily mechanical maintenance activities within a chemical manufacturing environment. Leads craft personnel to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with site, OSHA, and site standards.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise mechanical maintenance crews (mechanics, pipe fitters, welders, etc.).
  • Plan, assign, and monitor daily maintenance work activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and permit requirements.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance planning, and contractors.
  • Review work orders, drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Monitor job progress, quality, manpower, and materials.
  • Lead toolbox talks, JSAs, and incident/near‑miss reporting.
  • Respond to equipment failures and emergency maintenance needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of industrial mechanical experience; chemical facility experience preferred.
  • Prior lead or foreman experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and piping systems.

Requirements:

  • Must have strong customer service and employee relations skills.
  • Must work overtime, call‑ins, and outages as needed.
  • Ability to work in hazardous industrial environments.
  • Must meet all physical demands of the role
