General Labor - 3rd Shift
The General Laborer is the front-line employee who performs the manufacturing processes that add value and create high-quality products.
LocationSpencer, Wisconsin
HoursDuring the 90‑day probationary period, training may include all 3 shifts. Monday‑Friday with weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. There is no guarantee of 40 hours a week. One week plant shut‑down each year.
1st Shift Times: 5:15am – 1:45pm
2nd Shift Times: 1:15pm – 9:45pm (extra $1.35/hr.)
3rd Shift Times: 9:15pm – 5:45am (extra $1.35/hr.)
Wage$26.05/hr. base
New employees will train on General Labor and rated positions. They will be paid the rate of the job when training/performing rated positions.
Required Qualifications & Experience- 18 years or older
- 6+ months of manufacturing experience
- Forklift Experience and/or Certification
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and possess basic mathematical skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Self‑Reliable and able to accurately work under limited supervision
- Able to troubleshoot mechanical problems
- Communicates work order progress to supervisor and production operators
- Customer focused and able to work in a collaborative team
- Ability to be flexible in work performed and schedule
- Knowledge of various high‑tech manufacturing processing and packaging equipment. Examples include but are not limited to baggers, palletizers and cookers.
- Ensures a safe working environment while performing assigned tasks
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
- Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present
- Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime
This role is at a dairy foods manufacturing facility for Land O’Lakes, creating dairy products that stand for real, simple goodness.
