Job ResponsibilitiesCoordinate high work volume and pressing time requirements; influence behavior through positive dialogue; travel within and outside of the U.S. as required; provide leadership throughout the design and manufacturing process; support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence through positive dialogue, quantitative and analytical skills.
- Required:
Ten (10) or more years of prior experience in an automotive manufacturing environment directly related to engineering activities. - Minimum of five years supervisory experience.
- Travel within and outside of the U.S. is required.
- Knowledge of PPAP / Submission process systems or equivalent.
- Knowledge of GD&T methods.
- Knowledge of IATF
16949 auditing experience. - Exposure to international standards/engineering specifications is an asset.
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- Knowledge of SPC, MSA, G&R is an asset.
- Experience in computer skills such as Microsoft Word or Excel.
- Fluent in English;
German (preferably) or Japanese (reading and writing) is an asset.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
- Ten or more years of work‑related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to perform work while sitting for up to eight hours on a continuous basis.
- Ability to stand, walk or climb stairs for a minimum of eight hours on a continuous basis.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds infrequently.
- Good vision at a close distance and color acuity required.
- Must be capable of performing a full range of repetitive motions for up to eight hours a day.
- Receive ongoing training concurrent with business operations, including safety, quality, continuous improvement and other job‑specific training essential to the role.
