Mill Operator - 2nd shift

Job Description

We are seeking Mill Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and on TPM activities. As a Mill Operator you will be responsible to:

• Run batches of ink at proper mill settings.
• Package/can finished product in various containers and apply labels.
• Clean and maintain machine to TPM standards.
• Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities.
• Operate Hockmeyer mills at optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards.
• Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas including processing times.
• Operate the following:
  Press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift.
• Act as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Help with repacks.

• Have a high school diploma or GED desired.
• Have 3 months of work-related experience.
• Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills.
• Have attention to detail.
• Be reliable to work assigned shift.
• Be flexible to work overtime as required.
• Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background.
• Be able to perform an active role with any multidisciplinary teams.
• Have good attendance and punctuality.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

• Forklift experience, but we can train you.
• Mixing, Mill, and Pump filter industry background.
