Job Description
We are seeking Mill Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and on TPM activities. As a Mill Operator you will be responsible to:
- Run batches of ink at proper mill settings.
- Package/can finished product in various containers and apply labels.
- Clean and maintain machine to TPM standards.
- Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities.
- Operate Hockmeyer mills at optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards.
- Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas including processing times.
- Operate the following:
Press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift. - Act as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data.
- Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
- Help with repacks.
- Have a high school diploma or GED desired.
- Have 3 months of work-related experience.
- Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills.
- Have attention to detail.
- Be reliable to work assigned shift.
- Be flexible to work overtime as required.
- Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background.
- Be able to perform an active role with any multidisciplinary teams.
- Have good attendance and punctuality.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:
- Forklift experience, but we can train you.
- Mixing, Mill, and Pump filter industry background.
