Job Title
Supervisor, Casting Department (Manager II, Production) – Full Time – Exempt
Company and LocationASTEMO ROCK SPRING, INC., located in Rock Spring, GA. Operates 3 shifts, 400 employees, and supplies aluminum knuckles to Honda and Subaru.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee manufacturing efforts for quality automotive and power sport vehicle parts.
- Ensure daily counts, shift reports, and BPS board updates are complete and accurate.
- Manage manpower allocation, schedule overtime via Paycom, and place resources where needed.
- Train new line leaders on standard procedures and job expectations.
- Maintain daily production targets, report missed targets, and identify root causes.
- Lead daily line issue resolution and communicate effectively to all management levels.
- Coach and counsel line leaders and associates as required.
- Gather “5 WHY” data and present findings when customer issues arise.
- Support company goals: OSHA safety compliance, ISO 14001 environmental compliance, ethical/legal compliance, customer quality, production to plan, and delivery performance.
Promote a safety‑first culture, provide training, and enforce OSHA regulations, including PPE, LOTO, machine guarding, confined spaces, and incident reporting.
Quality ResponsibilitiesEnsure “in process” and final products meet quality specifications; enforce work instructions, point cards, and the STOP, CALL, WAIT mentality.
Delivery and Production AccountabilityEnsure planned production quantities are met, collect and complete shift paperwork accurately, and oversee line coordination during breaks and lunch shifts.
ReportingReport safety incidents, equipment and quality issues, workflow interruptions, and complete BPS board updates hourly.

Regular standing, hand use, occasional walking and reach; lifting up to 20 lbs routinely and up to 40 lbs occasionally.
