Huntsville, AL Pay: $18.00 per hour (Paid Weekly) Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Thursday, 6: 30 AM – 5: 00 PM (Overtime on Fridays as needed)

Job Summary

AtWork Personnel is seeking a dependable Auger Feed Operator for a manufacturing facility in Huntsville, AL. This position is responsible for feeding materials into an auger system, monitoring equipment for proper operation, and ensuring a continuous flow of materials throughout the production process. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Feed materials into the auger system while maintaining a steady production flow.
  • Monitor the auger and surrounding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Clear minor material jams and notify maintenance of equipment issues when necessary.
  • Inspect materials for quality and remove damaged or nonconforming items.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials using pallet jacks or other approved equipment.
  • Maintain production quotas while following quality standards.
  • Keep the work area clean and free of debris to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with general production and warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Perform routine housekeeping and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred. Experience operating production equipment is a plus. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to recognize equipment issues. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, dust, and moving machinery.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
