Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift Weekday

The position of Production Supervisor is responsible fordirecting and coordinating the overall assigned production area and manufacturing equipment to ensure compliance with the required standards for cleanliness. Assures quality and safety while achieving established goals and objectives.

• Works respectfully with all team members to ensure the Safety, Quality, production and support of our products and goalson a daily basis.
• Practices integrity, respect, accountability, continuous improvement and positive interactions with all Team Members and visitors.
• Activelyparticipatesin Marzetti Operational Excellence, special projects or tasks, and modification programs as needed with prior approval.
• Activelyparticipatesin department/shift/team meetings and is involved with improvement/resolutions & follow-up.
• Maintains the highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards.
• Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT/STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves, shield sand aprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provideoptimalpersonal safety & protection while working in the facility.
• If required for assigned tasks, successfullyacquiresandmaintains
  
  Lock Out-Tag Out Certification for machine and safely performs all functions in accordancetoOHSA and company requirements and standards.
• As required, performs daily inspection of any applicable power equipment with proper documentation.
• As a member of the T. Marzetti Company, completes his/her Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBSO), corrects issues when identified, andparticipatesin problem solving.
• Leads and promotes a strong Food Safety Culture within the facility
• Completes his/her Behavior Based Quality observations (BBqs), corrects issues whenidentifiedandparticipatesin problem solving.
• Ensures compliancetoquality, Food Safety Preventive Control (FSPC), FSMA, Food Defense, ,OSHA and other support programs; assures conformity to all company,customer and government standards.
• Reviews, understands, and complies withall applicable SOPscontaining
  
  Process or Preventive Control monitoring or verification, if trained anddesignatedas a Qualified Individual (QI).
• Communicate any concerns related to product safety, integrity,quality and legality to management or to the confidential hotline if the need for anonymity is necessary
• Promotes integrity, respect, accountability, continuousimprovementand positive interactions with all Team Members,customer sand vendors.
• Direct andsuperviseproduction employees.
• Works with HR for hiring, training and scheduling of production work force.
• Responsible for and coordinates shift activities through planning and communication with employees to ensure all productionobjectivesareaccomplishedina timely, cost-effective and safe manner.
• Ensure scheduling of the assigned production area.
• Compiles required production reporting accurately andtimely.
• Maintains close working relationships with all departments and responds to deviations from standards immediately.
• Coordinates with department managers and shift supervisors to ensure a trouble-free shift start-up.
• Responsible for &maintainspositive employee, corporate and community relations along with appropriateinterfacewith customer service,vendors and contractors.
• Regular Attendance isrequiredin accordance with Company attendance policy and procedures.
• Perform tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Management.
• Complete initial/annual training to ensure the individual is properly qualified (QI) to perform all required job tasks as outlined in training program/records.
• Supervise 1-100 dept. employees.
