This role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.

The incumbent in this position supports the activities and responsibilities of the Sawmill department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical equipment
• Designs and makes new parts to help ergonomics.
• Utilizes equipment knowledge for detecting and correcting machine issues
• Offers and implements new ideas to improve processes and procedures
• Ensures workability of all machines by starting and troubleshooting machines to prepare for production
• Checks air pressure and ensures all hydraulics is working
• Performs routine maintenance and upkeep such as sharpening knives for chippers, changing vents, and wiring new electrical devices.
• Applies preventative measures to the machine to reduce the risk of future problems
• Fixes potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

Tools, Machinery and Equipment:

• Common socket set
• Screwdriver
• Wrenches
• Basic tape measure skills.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED, and 1yr of equivalent experience.

Safety protocols be followed as a guide for operational direction. Failing to follow prescribed guidelines will waste resources and adversely impact performance.
