Position Summary
MS Companies is seeking a motivated and experienced Quality Supervisor 2 to lead and support inspection teams within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring quality standards are met, maintaining strong customer relationships, and leveraging MS Companies’ technology-driven systems to drive performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of quality inspectors to ensure performance, productivity, and quality standards are consistently met
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment to support safety and efficiency
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and client-specific requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain work instructions and quality processes
- Monitor production processes, control points, equipment, and personnel to ensure quality standards are achieved
- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, drive improvements, and support cost reduction initiatives
- Communicate expectations clearly; monitor performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching
- Address employee relations matters including attendance, performance, and behavioral concerns in partnership with HR
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to support operational success and career growth
- Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and service excellence
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling to meet production demands and customer requirements
- Accurately enter and manage time, production data, and other required inputs within company systems
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to visually identify defects in color, shape, size, or texture of parts
- Must be able to hear and differentiate sounds in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the workday for extended periods on concrete floors (up to 10-12 hours)
- Must be able to move within buildings and operational areas, including ascending and descending stairs
- Must be able to reach, turn, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, and maintain balance to prevent falls
- Must be able to reach overhead and perform repetitive movements
- Must be able to lift, carry, transfer, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to grasp with both hands and perform fine motor tasks requiring coordination and repetitive motion
- Good hand-eye coordination for inspection and material handling
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience with quality systems, reporting tools, and process improvement initiatives
- Proficiency with digital systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar platforms) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead teams effectively
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Flexibility to work any shift based on business needs
