Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Silas, AL is looking for a pastor. We are a small, community church seeking a pastor to lead pastor to lead and grow our congregation. As pastor, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering a sermon for Sunday morning worship and a devotion for Wednesday night prayer meeting. Other responsibilities of the pastor include leading the church in community outreach and ministering to the sick and elderly.
While we are open to a full time pastor, a bi-vocational pastor may be a better fit. The church has an on-site parsonage that will be available for either full time residency or occasional use by the pastor.
HGBC was founded in 1885 and has served the Souwilpa community continuously for the past 141 years. In the early 2000s, the church erected a new sanctuary that still houses the church today.
