American Traveler is seeking an experienced Neuro ICU RN with a valid MD or compact license and at least two years of neuro critical care experience.
Job Details
• Position is in a Neuro Critical Care Unit (Neuro ICU) at a large hospital,
• Care for patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and post-operative neurosurgical cases,
• Rotating 12-hour shifts (7AM/7PM) with both day and night requirements,
• Expectation to work 3 out of every 6 weekends,
• On-call responsibilities required 2 times per 6-week schedule,
• Floating as needed to units with similar skill sets including ICU and IMC,
• Uses Epic as the electronic medical record system,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state,
• Current BLS certification,
• At least two years of neuro critical care nursing experience,
• Experience in facilities with at least 500 beds,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• ACLS, Critical Care Certification, and trauma course are preferred,
Additional Information
• Responsible for monitoring and caring for neurologically complex and critically ill patients,
• Will participate in specialized post-operative neurosurgical care and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams,
• Orientation provided on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month,
• Holiday coverage required as needed,
• Locals accepted at the same rate except for certain facilities with radius restrictions,
