Qualifications & Desired

Experience:

• Active RN license in good standing
• At least one year of recent experience working as an RN in a CVOR environment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred)
• Proven ability to handle high-acuity cases alongside cardiothoracic surgeons and surgical staff
• Thorough understanding of CVOR protocols, sterile techniques, and emergency procedures
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
• Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub in cardiovascular operating room procedures, including preparation, maintenance of sterile fields, and instrumentation support
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to optimize patient safety and outcomes
• Monitor, document, and assess patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized CVOR equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and surgical safety standards
• Support patient and family education regarding perioperative experience
