About the Role

The Staff Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality anesthesia care to patients across a variety of surgical and procedural settings. This position involves the comprehensive assessment, planning, and administration of anesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period. The Staff CRNA collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans.

Additionally, the role requires continuous monitoring of patients’ physiological status during procedures and the ability to respond swiftly to any changes or emergencies. Ultimately, the Staff CRNA contributes to positive patient outcomes by applying expert clinical judgment, advanced technical skills, and compassionate care in a fast‑paced environment within the United States healthcare system.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current and unrestricted Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license in the United States.
  • Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
  • Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in anesthesia administration within a hospital or surgical setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary surgical team environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and anesthesia information management systems.
  • Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Advanced training or experience in specialized anesthesia techniques or subspecialties.
  • Strong background in patient education and pain management strategies.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre‑anesthetic assessments to evaluate patient health status and identify potential anesthesia risks.
  • Develop and implement anesthesia care plans tailored to individual patient needs and surgical requirements.
  • Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local, while continuously monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless perioperative care.
  • Manage airway and ventilation during procedures and provide post‑anesthesia care and pain management.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of anesthesia care and patient responses.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in anesthesia practice and technology.
