We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Admissions Nurse to serve as a key member of our nursing leadership team.
This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys building relationships, coordinating care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting both residents and staff in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment.
- Coordinate and facilitate resident admissions, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for residents and families.
- Complete admission assessments, documentation, care coordination, and required regulatory forms.
- Review physician orders and ensure timely communication and documentation by nursing staff.
- Administer and monitor required admission screenings, vaccinations, and health‑related follow‑up activities.
- Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness, including falls, antibiotics, changes of condition, and other required records.
- Manage resident weight monitoring programs and ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Conduct routine audits of medication and treatment carts to maintain compliance and resident safety.
- Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing assistants and charge nurses regarding daily care expectations and service standards.
- Assist with staff education, in‑services, and competency validations.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.
- Provide direct resident care and nursing floor support as needed.
- Assist with staffing coverage during call‑ins, vacations, and other operational needs.

- Current Texas RN license in good standing.
- Long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or senior living experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with residents, families, physicians, and team members.
- Working knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care preferred.
- Ability to lead by example and foster a positive team environment.
