Registered Nurse; RN

Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, part of Mission Health, is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care to a diverse adult and geriatric population in an acute care setting. Working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff, you will complete comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, and continuously evaluate patient responses to ensure optimal outcomes.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate care across the continuum, support patients and families through education and discharge planning, and serve as an advocate for patient rights, safety, and dignity. You will utilize advanced medical technology and electronic medical records to document accurately and communicate effectively. The RN will follow all hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards, while actively participating in quality improvement, infection prevention, and patient safety initiatives.

You will be expected to prioritize and manage multiple patients, respond promptly to changes in condition, and elevate concerns using sound clinical judgment. Responsibilities include performing head-to-toe assessments, monitoring vital signs and lab results, initiating and titrating therapies as ordered, collaborating in care conferences, and supporting safe transitions of care. You will precept new staff when appropriate, contribute to a culture of teamwork and mutual respect, and model Mission Health’s values of compassion, integrity, and excellence.
