Bonus:
Up to $20,000.00 (For Full‑Time, 7 On/7 Off, and Weekend Only positions).

Schedule:

Full‑Time Days – 3 12‑Hour Shifts, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm;
Full‑Time Nights – 3 12‑Hour Shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am.

UAB St. Vincent's East – Trussville, AL.

North is a private 18‑bed unit that specializes in the care of patients with a diagnosis or comorbidities warranting telemetry monitoring. Nurses on this unit develop and advance skills to detect medical or cardiovascular issues, communicate with providers, and implement interventions to prevent emergent situations.

Responsibilities include assessments, rhythm interpretations, lab value analyses, patient and family education, wound care, IV management, medication administration and management. Advanced telemetry nursing support is available to help bedside staff provide the highest level of care.

What You Will Do
  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with team members.
What You Will Need
  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
  • Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
Education
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure at time of hire.
