Position Overview
- Provides direct nursing care according to organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans, communicates patient conditions, and coordinates multidisciplinary care.
- Follows physician and nursing orders and assesses discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Current license or eligibility to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school and professional licensure at the time of hire.
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a cardiac stepdown setting.
- Serve as a primary coordinator for patient care, ensuring seamless communication among care disciplines.
- Assist with discharge planning and follow physician and nursing directives.
