Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical - Day Shift

Position Overview

• Provide direct nursing care following organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement, monitor, and communicate patient care plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts to ensure well-organized patient care.
• Follow physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with healthcare team members.

• Current RN license or eligibility to be licensed by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification obtained within 1 month of hire, with American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program and professional licensure at the time of hire.

• Part-time days position in the 3 South Med Surg department.
• Work location at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham.
