Wound Care Nurse Part Time

Grand Bay, Alabama

Greenway Health & Rehab is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Wound Care Nurse

Wound Care RN Responsibilities

  • • Assess, monitor, and manage resident wounds and skin conditions
  • • Develop, implement, and update individualized wound treatment plans
  • • Perform wound measurements, evaluations, and documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
  • • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
  • • Monitor wound healing progress and modify treatment plans as needed
  • • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and wound care protocols
  • • Educate nursing staff on wound prevention, skin integrity, and treatment best practices
  • • Participate in clinical meetings, care plan conferences, and quality improvement initiatives
  • • Assist with pressure injury prevention programs and skin rounds
  • • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
    • Must be available to participate in the on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as scheduled.

Qualifications

  • • Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • • Wound Care Certification preferred but not required
  • • Previous wound care, treatment nurse, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute experience preferred
  • • Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills
  • • Knowledge of pressure injury prevention, wound management, and infection control practices
  • • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
