Safety Manager

Location: Calvert

Taurus Staffing is looking for a Safety Manager in the Calvert, AL area. Need to have OSHA 30 certification. Day and Night Shifts available.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention

Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, including detailed reports and documentation

Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Collaborate with management and department heads to develop safety goals and objectives

Monitor workplace conditions to ensure compliance with occupational health standards

Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in safety regulations

Manage workers' compensation claims process, including reporting, investigation, and resolution

Oversee the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills to test effectiveness

Qualifications:

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certification preferred

Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs in an industrial setting

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EPA requirements

Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information effectively

Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and processes

First aid/CPR certification is a plus Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
