You will report directly to our QA Supervisor our Hope Hull Manufacturing Center of Excellence and work lockstep with your leader and all other functions to ensure product and process quality activities and results are compliant with requirements and achieve high customer satisfaction, while providing guidance and support where needed to assure overall team success. You will be directly responsible for Technical Inspections and initiatives within the Quality Department to ensure 100% incoming materials quality, evolution of preventive quality, and other activities as assigned.
The appropriate candidate must possess growth potential for an elevated technical role.
(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Perform product Inspection related activities including but not limited to Incoming Materials, FAI, Calibration, Metrology, etc.
- Responsible for analyzing, assessing, and drawing appropriate conclusions on product/process quality issues.
- Motivate & facilitate Quality improvement through bottom-up approach.
- Take direction from multiple sources.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a US security clearance if required
- Ability to perform under the requirements of FAA/DOT safety sensitive programs
- Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
RequiredEducation & Experience:
- Degree in a Technical field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 yrs experience in a technical inspection/manufacturing product auditing role
- Technical Oral and Writing experience
- Strong Mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of Problem Solving RCCA tools
- Experience in using and inspection tools (calipers, mics, torque wrench, etc)
- Ability to apply good dexterity
- Ability to interpret drawings and schematics
- Ability to professionally interface with all levels of the organization
- Ability to understand technical interpretations
- Strong sense of urgency, diligence, and execution
- Disciplined, results oriented, and dependable
- Willing to further education and experience
- Ability to grow into other technical roles
Education & Experience:
- Associates Degree in a technical field
- CMM experience
- ASQ Certified Inspector
- IPC-610 Certified
- Internal Auditor
- Microsoft Dynamics ERP
- Trained in the Utilization of Basic Quality Tools
- Environment is neutral with low to moderate noise exposure, is semi-seated position requiring the extended use of a computer and computer equipment
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, pickup boxes with arms and hands (25 lbs or less), climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
