People Ready of Mobile, AL is now hiring Affordable Housing Leasing Managerin Bayou La Batre, AL! The ideal candidate will have apartment leasing experience and working knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC/Section 42) or other affordable housing programs. This position is responsible for leasing apartments, providing outstanding customer service, and ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $20 – $20 / hour*

What you’ll be doing as an Affordable Housing Leasing Manager:

• Welcome prospective residents and conduct property tours
• Respond to leasing inquiries by phone, email, and in person
• Process rental applications and prepare lease agreements
• Verify applicant eligibility and collect required income and asset documentation
• Assist with move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, and resident communications
• Maintain accurate resident files and ensure compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit)/Section 42 requirements and company policies
• Coordinate with the property management team to achieve occupancy goals
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional leasing office environment

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with People Ready
• Minimum of 1 year of apartment leasing experience preferred
• Affordable Housing or LIHTC certification required
• Experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 42, HUD, or affordable housing compliance required
• Knowledge of income certifications and resident file documentation
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi, One Site, Real Page, Entrata, or similar property management software is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required
