Dietary Production Supervisor

About the Role:

The Dietary Production Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the preparation and production of nutritious meals at Bibb Medical Center. This position ensures that all dietary guidelines and safety standards are strictly followed to meet the unique nutritional needs of patients, residents, patients, and customers. The Production Supervisor manages kitchen staff, coordinates meal production schedules, and maintains inventory to guarantee timely and efficient food service operations.

Ultimately, this role is essential in delivering high-quality, safe, and appealing meals that support patient recovery and satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a food production or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary guidelines applicable to healthcare environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret dietary orders and recipes accurately.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in food safety (e.g., Serv Safe Manager Certification).
  • Leadership training or experience in staff development.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily food production activities to ensure compliance with dietary specifications and safety regulations.
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, including cooks and food service workers, to maintain high standards of food quality.
  • Prepare meats, entrees, and desserts, as well as other foods when needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and control food costs while minimizing waste.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and that the work environment adheres to health and safety standards.
