Golf Shop Assistant

Description

Valley Hill Country Club is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Golf Shop Assistant to join our golf operations team. This position will work closely with the professional and outside operations staffs to provide an exceptional experience for our members and guests.

• Greet and check in members and guests
• Answer the golf shop phone and assist with general questions
• Support the professional staff with daily golf shop operations
• Assist members with merchandise selections and purchases
• Fold, organize, and display polos and other merchandise
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional golf shop
• Communicate with the outside operations staff to ensure golf carts are prepared as members arrive
• Assist with additional golf operations duties as needed

• Hard-working, dependable, and willing to take initiative
• Eager to learn and develop new skills
• Able to communicate professionally with members, guests, and coworkers
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Strong customer-service skills and attention to detail
• Golf knowledge is preferred but not required

• Willingness to learn and assist in multiple areas of the golf operation
• Ability to remain organized and attentive in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise or golf bags weighing up to 40 pounds
• Must successfully complete any required pre-employment screening
• Previous golf, retail, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required
