Journeyman Ironworker

• Pay: $30/hour (DOE)
• Per Diem: $70/day
• Schedule: 40–60 hours per week, including occasional Saturdays and Sundays

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Ironworker to support ongoing projects in the Calvert, Alabama area. This role requires a skilled professional with a strong background in structural steel erection, rigging, and ironwork safety practices. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Erect, align, and secure structural steel components
• Perform rigging, hoisting, and signaling operations
• Bolt, weld, and connect steel framework safely and accurately
• Install metal decking, bar joists, and other structural components
• Inspect materials and equipment to ensure quality and safety standards
• Maintain compliance with all OSHA and site-specific safety regulations
• Collaborate with crew members and supervisors to meet project deadlines

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Ironworker
• Strong knowledge of structural steel erection and rigging techniques
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
• Proficient in using iron working tools and equipment
• Valid certifications (OSHA 10/30, rigging, welding) preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Valid Driver's License

• Outdoor construction setting with exposure to varying weather conditions
