Job Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Eligible for employment in the United States
  • At least three (3) years of work experience in instrumentation and electrical systems
  • Willing to work in industrial conditions (warm/hot, dusty/dirty, hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, elevated surfaces, confined spaces with proper safety training and protection)
  • Undertake technical online testing, interview, and a formal hands‑on assessment of skills
  • Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment
  • Undergo a job‑related health assessment as a condition of employment
  • Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment
  • Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
  • Work overtime on a regular basis with last‑minute notification
  • Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
  • Wear required safety equipment
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Associate’s degree and/or certification(s) in industrial maintenance or related disciplines within instrumentation/electrical

Job Overview

This position works alongside journeymen-level electrical/ instrumentation maintenance technicians in routine maintenance work and performs many duties independently. The Global Manufacturing Training program provides paid hands‑on experiences and classroom instruction to prepare you for promotion.

Instrumentation Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, configure, and maintain PLC systems and single‑loop controls for various field systems
  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot analog and SMART instruments and analytical equipment from various manufacturers
  • Shop and field repair of final control elements such as pneumatic valves, electric valves, solenoid‑operated valves, and calibration of pneumatic and SMART valve positioners
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and P& sheets
  • Perform routine and regulatory calibration of field instruments for boilers and environmental systems
  • Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Understand and follow NFPA 70E regulations involving arc‑flash and shock hazards
  • Calibrate and maintain control instrumentation
  • Other duties as assigned
Electrician Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, install, repair AC and DC drive systems as well as stand‑alone process drives of various manufacturers
  • Install and maintain electrical components such as mechanical limit, proximity, photoelectric, speed, and reflective switches
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on 480‑V through 13.8‑kV power distribution switch gear
  • Understand and follow NFPA 70E regulations involving arc‑flash and shock hazards
  • Other duties as assigned
