2nd Shift Maintenance Generalist, Eufaula Feed Mill, Banks, AL
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
- Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
- Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
- Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
- Comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
- Perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs without supervision.
- Diagnose and repair equipment without supervision.
- Start all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
- Assist other mechanics as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work in temperatures that vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity, including dusty, warm, cold, and/or humid conditions.
- Stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, stoop, and climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
- Lift up to 70 lbs depending on department.
- Wear a safety toe boot that can withstand 75 lbs at all times.
2nd Shift (United States of America).
Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience or graduate of an industrial maintenance training program or a combination of experience and education to meet the 2‑year requirement.
- Ability to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment without supervision.
- Ability to start equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision.
- Ability to assist other mechanics.
- Stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, stoop, and climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
- Lifting up to 70 lbs depending on department.
- Wear a safety toe boot that can withstand 75 lbs at all times.
