Job Title3rd Shift Maintenance Technician — Lacey’s Spring Quarry, Lacey’s Spring, AL. Reports to the Plant Manager. The role emphasizes safety, self-motivation, and teamwork.
Job Details- Wage dependent on verifiable experience
- 3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- $5.00 night shift differential
- Full-time / Permanent
- Weekend work may be required
- Overtime available; medical and retirement benefits
- Repair and maintain crushers, conveyors, and screens in the plant.
- Diagnose mechanical issues with quarry equipment, including hydraulic failures, electrical malfunctions, and engine problems.
- Fabricate parts and weld broken components needed for plant repair.
- Perform servicing and general maintenance for all plant areas.
- Regularly inspect quarry equipment for wear, damage, or potential failure (belts, bearings, hydraulic lines, electrical components).
- Follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe procedures and environment.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs.
- Experience in fixed plant maintenance or related industry required.
- Experience with crushers, conveyors, and screens required.
- Experience fabricating, cutting, and welding required.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently without close supervision.
- Flexible on working hours and locations; able to adapt to different environments.
- Ability to demonstrate equipment operation and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good organizational and time management skills.
- Team player with the ability to work outdoors in varied weather; exposure to dust, noise, heat, and cold.
- Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
