Seasonal Maintenance Worker

This position is located in a National Park Service Unit. Performs simple and routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices associated with occupations such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, and other related trades. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job‑related factors:

• Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
• Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)
• Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
• Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
• Knowledge of materials, Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic), and Use of Measuring Instruments

Perform some maintenance worker duties associated with one trade such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, masonry, or another trade appropriate to this position. Performed these duties under dose supervision and subject to frequent inspection. I am able to solve problems and accomplish work assignments in a safe manner. Knowledge of a variety of technical trade terminology, tools, and equipment in one trade area.

Possess the ability to use a computer, maintain records, and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
