Field Technician

Swift Industrial Power is seeking a Field Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial batteries, UPS systems, and DC power equipment for manufacturing, distribution, telecom, and mission-critical facilities. In this field-based role, you'll perform site surveys, system startups, preventive maintenance, repairs, and battery testing while following strict safety and electrical standards. You'll work on customer sites and in the shop as part of a team, receive structured technical training, and gain opportunities to advance into leadership or specialized power roles.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service industrial batteries, UPS, and DC power systems at customer sites
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and load/battery testing to ensure system reliability
• Diagnose and repair electrical and power system issues using meters, analyzers, and diagnostic tools
• Conduct site surveys, document system conditions, and recommend repairs or upgrades
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use, Lockout/Tagout, and electrical safety standards
• Prepare accurate service reports, parts usage records, and customer documentation
• Coordinate with project managers and warehouse teams to stage materials and equipment
• Provide on-site customer support, explaining work performed and system operation
• Travel within the region for daily service calls and occasional overnight projects
• Participate in ongoing technical training and certifications to stay current on power technologies
