Position Summary:
The Crusher Helper supports crushing operations by cleaning, inspecting, and servicing crushers, screens, conveyors, and related equipment to minimize downtime, maintain safe operations, and ensure efficient material processing.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Maintain compliance with all company, state, and regulatory safety requirements and policies.
- Keep conveyor systems, crushers, screens, catwalks, and work areas free of material buildup and debris.
- Assist crusher operators with clearing screens and removing obstructions that impact production.
- Support maintenance activities including lubrication, greasing, inspections, and basic repairs.
- Monitor conveyor belt alignment and assist with corrective adjustments as needed.
- Report equipment issues, unsafe conditions, and operational concerns promptly.
- Participate in and comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and other critical safety procedures.
- Perform assigned duties efficiently while maintaining high housekeeping standards.
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.

- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use basic hand tools.
- Dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Essential Function S & Physical Demands Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and punctuality; may be required to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or be on call to support operational needs.
- Perform physically demanding work for extended periods, including standing, bending, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, and reaching.
- Access all areas of the quarry, including climbing stairs and ladders, working at heights, entering confined spaces and accessing tunnels.
- Work primarily outdoors in a quarry environment with exposure to extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and precipitation and high noise levels, dust, fumes, oils and lime/mineral particles.
- Ability to see, hear, communicate, and maintain situational awareness in an industrial environment around moving equipment, conveyors, and mobile equipment, including responding appropriately to alarms, signals, and changing conditions.
- May be required to sit for extended periods to operate equipment over rough, uneven terrain, if needed.
- Occasionally lift/carry 50 pounds.
- Pulling a maximum force of 60 lbf.

Required
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Education:
- Technical training or Associate's degree in a related field.
Required Experience:
- None
Preferred Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in mining, quarrying, or heavy manufacturing.
- Experience operating heavy equipment.
- Basic ability to use digital systems for work orders, training, timekeeping, or operational reporting.
