Responsibilities
- Work at heights with no fear.
- Use basic hand tools.
- Determine type of scaffold needed.
- Transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erect scaffold as instructed.
- Hoist scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structure.
- Secure and level locking sections of scaffold material.
- Secure scaffold to permanent structure for added stability.
- Adhere to all OSHA, site specific, and company requirements for erecting and navigating scaffold.
- Dismantle scaffold when instructed.
- Inspect and store scaffolding material after dismantling.
- Perform final inspection of completed scaffold.
- Other duties as assigned.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Strong mechanical, numerical, and verbal aptitude.
- Basic math and problem‑solving and computer abilities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman Scaffold Builder certification preferred or at least 5 years of experience as a Scaffold Builder in an industrial setting.
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid U.S. Driver’s license.
