Purchasing Agent

Full-Time 40h/wk $37.44k/year Business Casual Attire

• Process orders and enter order details (e.g., vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
• Process invoices
• Review freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low
• Execute logistics plan to move products to reach destinations on schedule according to production schedule
• Booking, documentation, costing, billing, filing, coordination, quoting, tracking and customer service
• Arrange cargo transportation with all applicable parties
• Coordinate with customers, overseas agents and vendors
• Prepare, distribute or otherwise process all required documentation including AWB, BOLs, invoices, export declarations (EEI), import documentation, pre alerts, debit and credit notes and others, as required
• Create and maintain detailed shipment files
• Monitor shipments and keep all parties informed of the shipment status at all times

• Manufacturing background desired
• ERP knowledge preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced multinational environment
• Works well with deadlines
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Some college preferred
• Must be able to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
