Material Handler/ Delivery Driver – Join Our Employee-Owned Team!

The Material Handler/Delivery Driver focuses on accurate, timely, and high-quality handling and transportation of materials. A detail-oriented and organized approach is essential for managing inventory, processing shipments, and ensuring on-time deliveries. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, technical accuracy, and a disciplined work ethic to track materials, verify documentation, and maintain warehouse organization. Decisions must be made carefully and thoroughly, following established procedures to minimize errors and ensure safety.

Hands‑on involvement, close attention to detail, and accountability are key to success, with a focus on getting the job done efficiently and correctly. While teamwork is important, this role also requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions
  • Accurately receive, verify, pull, stage, and transport materials for internal transfers and customer deliveries.
  • Fulfill transfer orders between branches, ensuring correct quantities, proper documentation, and timely completion.
  • Load, secure, and unload materials for delivery in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Deliver materials to customers in a professional, timely, and customer-focused manner while maintaining required delivery documentation.
  • Verify packing slips, shipping tickets, and delivery paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process returned materials in accordance with company policies, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations following company procedures.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Pull, prepare, and process outbound shipping tickets and related paperwork.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and delivery environment through daily housekeeping practices.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper equipment use and adherence to Inline Electric Supply policies and procedures.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as assigned (certification preferred where applicable).
  • Work independently to complete assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Communicate accurate and timely information to supervisors, coworkers, and customers as required.
  • Exercise sound judgment when handling materials, documentation, and delivery schedules to minimize errors and ensure safety.
  • Perform additional warehouse, delivery, or material-handling duties as assigned by department management or leadership.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to climb, crouch, and grasp materials as needed.
  • Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
