Area Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)
- Starting Salary: $65,239 - $94,567 annually
- Area Crew Stipend $6,000
- IA Stipend $2,080
- Sign‑On Bonus $12,500
- On Duty Housing Available
- Schedule 7 days on / 7 days off
We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Air Evac Lifeteam. This technician will be qualified to support our airframe and ensure timely, high‑quality transportation services and patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, and repairs, and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
- Manage inventory checks to ensure adequate supplies and equipment, regularly update tracking logs, and submit replacement requests when necessary.
- Document service paperwork and FAA information as required, complying with company policies and information security standards.
- Sustain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
- Coordinate communication between departments, vendors, and team members.
- Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow AMTs.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years turbine‑powered helicopter experience
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid state‑issued Driver’s License
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- Expertise in EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and maintenance support planning
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and 24/7 on‑call rotations
- Eligibility to participate in the FAA drug and alcohol testing program
- Capacity to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
- Capacity to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Maintenance experience on Bell 206, Bell 407, EC130, EC135
- FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate
- Experience under CFR Part 135
- Autopilot maintenance experience
- Avionics and electrical repair experience
