Job Opportunity

The Terry Soot Management Group (TSMG) is a field data collection company founded in 2017 in Europe. We collect data where automation is not possible. We count features, take photos and videos, record speech, and scan areas in great detail so you can make more informed decisions. Our data collection teams are active in Europe and North America and ready to take on new challenges.

The goal of this project is to capture high-quality visual recordings of roads, important landmarks, and public areas in various EU countries. Using vehicles equipped with removable 360° cameras and Lidar systems, drivers will record comprehensive images of their surroundings. The collected data will be stored on onboard computers (SSD drives) and later used to improve one of the leading online mapping platforms.

Data collectors will follow predefined routes focusing on public roads, business districts, and landmarks. To ensure the best possible image quality, certain areas may need to be revisited under favorable weather conditions.

The project duration varies depending on the scope of data collection in the respective target area. Typically, the deployment includes an active work phase of 3 to 6 months.

Full-time employment within regular business hours (8:00–19:00).

Application process:

Driving safety test, interview with a recruiter, and subsequent onboarding process.

Ideal candidate:

• Valid EU driver’s license
• Unblemished reputation (police record and driving fitness certificate)
• At least 5 years of driving experience
• Professional experience as a driver (e.g., taxi, courier, logistics)
• Good English skills and proficiency in the local language
• Technically proficient, experience with GSuite (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Forms)
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics
• Responsible, reliable, and professional
• Travel enthusiast and enjoys discovering new places
• Good local knowledge in the area of operation
