Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Loxley, AL—you’ll receive weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Compensation and

Schedule:

• Paid Training
• Drivers paid weekly
• Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour
• Per Diem: $28.06 per night
• Up to $2,200 in bonuses
• Schedule:
  
  Leave out on Sunday for the location you will cover
• Hotels Provided
• Start Time: 5:00‑6:00 AM dispatch

Job Profile:

• Deliver SOLO To:
  Southeast
• Tractor type:
  Day Cab – manual operator required
• Trailers:
  Flatbed 48’, 53’ – 6 months flatbed experience required
• Equipment:
  Mounted forklift
• Freight:
  Touch‑Brick
• Trucks are 36 months or newer; 24/7 roadside maintenance; company fuel

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including verification for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements
• Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within last 3 years OR 2 years within last 5 years OR 5 years within last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, or procedures

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist loading/unloading if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
