General Labor, Material Handler

Key Responsibilities and Duties- Work collaboratively as a team member and perform manual labor throughout the shift.
- Assist the Site Supervisor or Blaster in Charge with materials and equipment needs, and help collect supplies as requested.
- Use material handling equipment and tools including shovels, hand tools, power tools, and work around heavy construction equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment and report any employee, customer or safety concerns to the Blaster in Charge or Location Manager.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities- Ability to work non-traditional first shift hours, generally starting early.
- Work outside in all weather conditions, lifting and carrying 50+ pounds of product and other materials, frequently squatting and bending.
- Perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide) to count inventory and verify stock.
- Read and interpret documents, product information, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Identify products by classification through visible inspection.
- Strong team-oriented mentality.
- Must meet requirements of all State and Federal explosive laws and qualify as an ATF explosive possessor.
- Reliable transportation.
- Minimum age of 18 years as required by the ATF.
- Work outside in all weather conditions; exposure to dust, noise, oils and other mining elements.
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel and have hand/finger dexterity to operate controls and tools.
- Loads and unloads 40-60 pound product bags or boxes from company trucks; unloading may require repeatedly carrying product or boxes.
