The Forklift Operator plays a key role in supporting the overall operations of the warehouse. This position involves a variety of tasks related to the receipt, storage, and shipment of products, contributing to the smooth functioning of the warehouse and ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately pick and pack products according to customer orders and organizational standards.
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging of items for shipment.
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of the received products against packing lists.
- Report and document any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Organize and manage inventory within the warehouse.
- Safely operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Transport materials and products to designated storage areas.
- Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet established standards.
- Report any product defects or quality issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding work tasks and priorities.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Prepare shipping documents and labels for outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and ensure timely dispatch of orders.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in safety training programs and maintain a safe working environment.
- Must pass a drug screen and Nationwide background check.
- Must have ADP experience.
- Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
- Must be flexible to work potential overtime and some weekends.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, and stoop for 8 – 12 hour shifts.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Work may involve exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
- May be required to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
