Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

Our client, a well-established commercial construction company, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their leadership team. • Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Oversee job costing and project profitability reporting to support operational decision-making.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting to support continued company growth.
• Lead and mentor the accounting and administrative team while fostering a collaborative environment.
• Work closely with the company's external CPA and serve as a trusted financial partner to leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including previous Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager experience.
• Construction accounting and job costing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience leading accounting teams and implementing process improvements.
• ERP experience required;
  Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to partner directly with leadership.
