Join our high-performing team at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama, as the emergency medicine assistant medical director. Qualifications and Leadership Duties
- Leadership experience strongly preferred
- ABEM/AOBEM: board certified or board eligible
- Support the facility medical director in overseeing ED operations and clinical performance
- Provide guidance to the team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care
- Monitor patient outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement and implement initiatives that enhance care, quality and efficiency
- Champion safety and best practices throughout the emergency department
- ED Volume: approximately 30k annual visits
- Shift Structure: 8- to 10-hour physician shifts
- Coverage: robust physician + APC coverage daily
- Support: strong nursing staff and ancillary staff
- EPIC EMR for smooth documentation and workflow
