Qualifications &

Experience:

• Valid teaching certification and experience working with students across K-12, especially in life skills or special education programs
• Knowledge of age-appropriate life skills curriculum and instructional strategies
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities
• Flexibility to adapt teaching techniques to various learning levels and student needs
• Collaborative mindset for working with general and special education staff, as well as families

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging life skills lessons to students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and self-confidence
• Customize lesson plans to address the unique goals and capabilities of each student
• Teach essential skills such as communication, self-care, social interactions, and vocational preparation
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records for IEP and school documentation
• Partner with teachers, counselors, and support staff to ensure continuity of student support
• Engage with families regarding student achievements and development
