School-Based Speech Language Pathologist

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school setting near Alabaster, AL. In this dynamic role, you’ll empower students to reach their communication goals and collaborate with dedicated educators to foster a positive learning environment.

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
• Previous school-based therapy experience is highly valued
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage caseloads, schedules, and documentation efficiently
• Flexibility and teamwork within a multidisciplinary school community

• Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, communication, or swallowing disorders
• Deliver direct therapy services tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ educational success
• Complete timely and accurate documentation, including progress reports and IEPs
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute insights to goal-setting, and monitor student progress
• Provide consultative support and resources to educators and families for optimal student outcomes
