Floor Technician

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment. The role involves stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing of hard-surface floors, as well as cleaning and maintaining carpet and upholstery.

• Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and apply proper procedures.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

• Location: Shelby Baptist Medical Center – 1000 1st Street N, Alabaster, AL 35007. Online applications only.
• Schedule: Full‑time; days and hours may vary. Must be able to work every other weekend.
• Pay: $12.00 per hour, with a $1,250 sign‑on bonus.
• Sign‑on Bonus: $1,250.
• Willing to train.
