Position Overview
Provides anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for various surgical and diagnostic procedures, including cardio-thoracic surgeries and cardiac catheterizations. Participates in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program; current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the state Board of Nursing; and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association are required. Work experience cannot replace educational requirements.
ResponsibilitiesAdminister anesthesia, assist in surgical procedures, and support clinical education for students. Maintain necessary certifications and stay updated on best practices.
