Lead Low Voltage Installation Technician

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Low Voltage Installation Technician located in Alabaster, AL. The technician will lead the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced low voltage systems and electrical equipment. Daily responsibilities include overseeing the setup and optimization of security systems, structured cabling, access control and audio-visual equipment. The role also entails diagnosing and resolving technical issues, ensuring system functionality, managing safety protocols, and supporting junior technicians.

• Ability to run an install with minimal to no guidance
• Ability to read drawings and delegate tasks efficiently to the assigned crew
• Ability to manage and keep up with parts/inventory that are assigned to a specific project
• Ability to install a camera, access, or alarm install from start to finish
• Ability to communicate directly with the PM, the assigned crew, and also but not limited to the assigned on site POC for each install
• Ability to operate a boom/scissor lift
• Ability to close out a project while following company guidelines for each install
• Ability to adapt to issues that become present on a jobsite without letting emotions impact decision making
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a high standard for quality
• Ability to train team members

• Experience in Troubleshooting and maintaining low voltage and related electrical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with technical schematics and guidelines.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities to manage and train a team effectively.
• 3-5 years previous experience in low voltage systems, security installations, and structured cabling is a must. Commercial experience is a plus.
• Relevant certifications or a background in electrical or engineering fields is preferred.
