Our company is seeking a certified Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. While this role focuses on diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, the ideal candidate is also comfortable working as a technician who can diagnose and repair technology issues in newer and older trucks. In addition to making repairs, you will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on diesel engines, brakes, transmission, and other systems.
Applicants must be able to pass pre‑employment and random drug testing.
- Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines.
- Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems.
- Electrical troubleshooting; tire maintenance; minor transmission repair; brake and air conditioning system repair.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary.
- Prepare work orders and order parts.
- Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Road calls and occasional out of town stays are possible.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- High school diploma or GED certificate required.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL strongly preferred).
- Diesel technician or mechanic degree a plus.
- Experience with small diesel engine repair.
- Some welding experience a plus.
- Mechanical skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math skills.
